A Peaceful Retreat

Arbor Camp (30 Old Mill Road) offers guests a chance to stay in a secluded forest haven on the Union River that is still just minutes away from the amenities and conveniences of a quaint and thriving downtown with many shops and restaurants open year round. We are located 30 minutes north of Acadia National Park with easy access to the Down East area’s exquisite array of mountains, woods, lakes, and the ruggedly beautiful shoreline for which Maine is justly famous.

With nearly a half mile of river frontage, a stream, and over a mile of walking trails, Arbor Camp’s thirty acres offers plenty of space for a peaceful and private retreat without leaving the grounds. Two cabins and a treehouse sit on an open field with spectacular views of the Union River and its array of wildlife. The remaining thirteen treehouses are thoughtfully spaced through the 25 acres of lush and welcoming forest providing privacy and an immersive experience of the old trees. Many also boast views of the river throughout the forest canopy.

Summer in Maine is famous for its temperate beauty and laid-back charm; Fall is known for its blazing colors and deliciously crisp air. Winter offers the quiet peace of a snow-blanketed forest and sparkling wooded trails to be explored on snowshoes or cross country skis. And there is nothing like being in the woods when Spring comes again in its color and freshness.
